The hoopla, hysteria and general hype are unrivaled around the NFL Draft, where the usual pomp and circumstance is filled with stylish suits, neck-draped bling, main-stage struts, Roger Goodell bro hugs and lifelong dreams realized. However, selfish gamers only care about one thing — Where does the rookie rank in the fantasy pecking order?
Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Jaguars
As America — from the Oval Office to Mel Kiper Jr. to a random street-corner busker in downtown Cleveland — collects itself after Shedeur Sanders’ NFL Draft slide, the former Colorado quarterback’s main target in Boulder is about to make a cannonball splash.
Early indications are Hunter could mostly contribute as a wide receiver and play defensive snaps roughly 30% of the time. Of course, until the real action begins, that estimation is complete guesswork.

However, on a Jacksonville team needing offensive explosiveness alongside WR1 Brian Thomas, Hunter earning the majority of his snaps as a receiver seems most plausible.
Working inside or out, he’s the epitome of a playmaker. His long arms, off-the-charts stamina, elusiveness in space and rubber-peeling wheels should cause havoc for opposing defenses.

Can he finish as a Top-18 WR in his rookie year⁉️ pic.twitter.com/MRVDcfejEa
Last season with the Neon Deions, Hunter dominated the competition whether against zone or single coverage schemes. According to Pro Football Focus, seven routes in his tree recorded a 100+ rating. He also finished top-12 in deep and screen yards.
Hunter will flourish if deployed in the slot or outside. With his stellar separation skills, contested catch strength and downfield proclivities, he should become a favorite target of Trevor Lawrence on Day 1.

A final line landing inside the WR top 36 in 0.5 PPR is likely.
