The NBA playoffs are always wild, wacky and filled with knife-thick drama. With players putting everything on the line in an attempt to bask in championship glory, naturally, the pressure-packed games are tremendously fun to wager on. As a result, the sportsbooks offer many creative ways to enhance the action. What is Brad’s SGP play in Mavericks-Timberwolves Game 2? Check out his lean below.

The pick — SGP: Naz Reid 10+ points, 4+ rebounds (+112, DraftKings)

DraftKings offers:

To reference another Nas in the hip-hop classic “If I Ruled the World (Imagine That),” let’s mentally get to a place filled with “purple M3s and jet skis” and coast to a sweat-free cash on Mr. Reid.

The NBA Sixth Man of the Year has consistently cruised past both needed thresholds. Off the bench in Game 1, he scored 15 points and grabbed five boards. In four regular-season matchups against Dallas, he topped both numbers three times, averaging 15.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Overall this postseason, Reid has failed to cash on the outlined SGP in six of 12 contests. However, he’s drilled the over in four of his last five games.

The Mavericks have been somewhat vanilla on defense in the playoffs. They rank No. 6 in defensive rating (110.6) and No. 5 in fewest opponent rebounds per game (41.2). Again, the on-paper matchup isn’t deterring, particularly given the 6-foot-9 Reid’s length, versatility (34.0 3PT%) and overall well-rounded play.

Thanks to Reid and Kyle Anderson, Minnesota’s bench outscored Dallas’ reserves 28-14 Wednesday in a 108-105 Mavs victory. With the Wolves aiming to not shoot themselves directly in the foot in Game 2, bank on them evening up the series thanks in some part to Reid’s award-winning contributions.
