With the 2024 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, gaming audiences are already presented with long-term investment opportunities. Where should gamblers stack their greenbacks in the season-long props market? Throughout the week, I’ll share my initial thoughts on an available wager tied to this year’s stellar quarterback class.

The pick — Caleb Williams OVER 23.5 passing TDs (+100, DraftKings)

DraftKings offer:

Bear all the way down, Chicago. You got your guy as the draft’s No. 1 overall pick, and, using a move out of the SGP playbook, matched him with a polished playmaker in wide receiver Rome Odunze with the No. 9 selection.

Odunze, DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet and D’Andre Swift comprise a banner arsenal of pass catchers. Given Williams’ accuracy (QB15 in adjusted completion percentage in college football last season), all-field arm strength and off-schedule capabilities, he should pay an instant dividend in what is becoming a high-powered vertical attack.

Charlie O’Rourke, way back in 1942, set the Bears rookie record in touchdown passes with 11. You read that right — 11. Williams will blow away that number and toss 24-26 end-zone strikes this fall.

Remember, the Bears have the third-easiest strength of schedule this season.
