Primetime NFL games bring in the numbers -- and the bets. In an attempt to boost gamer bankrolls, this only occasionally profitable bettor will attempt to stack greenbacks under the lights. As always, fade or follow -- that’s up to you.

The Pick: Marcus Mariota OVER 27.5 rush yards (-115, BetMGM)

Welcome to the age of constant questioning and endless doubt.

Thanks to the latest sports betting scandal rocking the NBA, which includes ties to powerful Italian crime syndicates surely headed by Tony Montana and Michael Corleone, every losing bettor will now suspect underperformance purposely occurred. Bitter Betsys will ceaselessly remark, “How could THAT happen?! Dude got PAID!”

Just look at this bettor’s social media replies to an off-the-cuff observation on Quentin Johnston franchising a Dunkin’ Donuts last Thursday in a lopsided win against Minnesota.

Again, great work Terry Rozier. Slow clap.

Monday in Kansas City, Mariota won’t operate as some mob-monetized pawn.

Against an assertive Chiefs defense, the Pineapple Express is likely to book it from the tackle box early and often.

When pressed into starting duties, Mariota has often ran with reckless abandon. This season, he’s crossed the 30-yard mark in two of three games, averaging a hypnotic 9.40 yards per carry. Whether on designed RPOs or improvisational scrambles, his legs will be active.

The Chiefs may be ALL THE WAY BACK offensively, but its trench execution on defense remains in flux. Entering the week, Andy Reid’s bunch checks in at No. 24 in rush EPA D, surrendering the sixth-most rush yards to passers. Overall, they’ve given up 26.7 ground yards per game to signal callers. Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson and Trevor Lawrence each raced past the number needed against them.

Yes, KC is a modest No. 17 in pocket pressure rate, cranking up the heat on only 18.3% of opponent dropbacks. However, given Mariota’s tuck-and-run tendency he’s an attractive tail in a contest his Commanders are sure to play from behind in.

And if the wager doesn’t cash don’t ridiculously take to X accusing him of intently ruining your $10 parlay.

NO CONTEXT PARLAY PLAY: Patrick Mahomes 2+ pass TDs, Isiah Pacheco 8+ rush attempts, Brashard Smith 2+ receptions (+114, DraftKings)
