Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, however, were featured targets in the short field. In total, they caught a combined 14 passes for 49 yards.
If the Packers are contempt allowing Jayden Daniels to play a nickel-and-dime styled game, the club's top pass-catching back stands to benefit. Week 1 against the Giants, Ekeler ran a pass route on 79.2% of snaps (19 total), catching all three of his intended looks for 31 yards.
