Season long player and team props are widely available across various sportsbooks. In an attempt to seek out values, Brad Evans will occasionally make the case on an attractive future -- whether betting the OVER or UNDER -- as the outside temps rise.

Today’s topic: A Supercharged Sensation

The Pick: Omarion Hampton to rush for 1000+ yards (+200, DraftKings)

Real estate prices out east in the exclusive 11962 go for the prettiest penny. Within America’s largest megalopolis, the Hamptons are a playground for society’s upper crust. Denizens who call the Long Island enclave home flaunt FU money at an extreme level.

Fantasy football’s version of the same name could soon have backers dwelling in similar opulence.

The Chargers’ Hampton is very much in the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year discussion (+1000, Caesars). He’s a beer keg with feet -- a husky, hammering and hard-to-wrangle back. Last year with North Carolina, he tucked inside the top six among all FBS running backs in yards after contact per attempt (4.35), scampers of 15+ yards (28) and total missed tackles forced (73).

Given his ideal frame (6-feet, 222 pounds), power, wheels (4.46 40-yard), versatility (38 receptions in ‘24), athleticism and contact balance, he possesses all the necessary goods to rock harder than a throwback Rage Against The Machine banger.

Iconic Rage guitarist Tom Morello nods in agreement.

The hype building around the rookie is deafening. Najee Harris’ July 4th fireworks fiasco, which caused a reported abrasion to the former Steeler's eye, still has the veteran back on the PUP with an unknown timetable to return. His cloudy activation date is why LAC recently signed Nyheim Hines off the scrapheap. It also only affirms the growing belief Hampton will be the main man starting Week 1 versus division rival Kansas City.

In Greg Roman’s conservative scheme -- the Chargers ranked No. 10 among all NFL teams in run rate last season -- the shifty youngster should immediately bolt to meaningful production. Already earning the OC’s admiration in camp, he’s a likely 15+ touch candidate in the opener. His 3.50 YAC per attempt and nine yards amassed on a pair of carries in the Hall of Fame Game was only an appetizer.

And that’s probably underselling it.

Opinions about LAC’s offensive line certainly vary. However, the analyst majority describes it as a much improved unit. Last year, it finished a disappointing No. 20 in run-blocking efficiency according to Pro Football Focus. Tackles Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater are a dynamic duo, but questions remain about other components. If the mound movers quickly mesh, exploitable running lanes could regularly materialize for Hampton.

Yes, the first-year chain mover doesn’t have the most welcoming slate. According to Full-Time Fantasy, the Chargers have the 18th-easiest projected strength of schedule for RBs. Regardless, he should thrive no matter the opponent.

At his 45.88 ADP (RB17) in half-point PPR drafts conducted over the last month, Hampton’s stock is climbing -- and fast. He’s one Hall of Fame Game highlight run away from becoming the Bitcoin of backs.

Even if his value spikes into the RB10-RB15 range, he’s still worth the bull-market buy. The wonderfully skilled rookie is an ideal situation. The battle between him and Raiders wrecking ball Ashton Jeanty for OROY honors could be one compelling contest this fall.

This season, LAC's rookie will have shareholders living high on the hog.
