Clark recorded 13 assists after I bet the under on 6.5 in her last game — the Indiana Fever’s 88-87 loss to the Chicago Sky last Sunday — and I STILL love her under 6.5 assists against Seattle on Thursday.
I’m betting on the Storm’s defense, which usually comes through. Seattle boasts the WNBA’s third-best defensive rating this season at 94.2 and ranks fourth in opponent assists at 19.6 per game.
Clark found success in the passing game in her last two contests because she played against the league’s sixth-worst defense (Atlanta) and eighth-worst defense (Chicago). I doubt she’ll find passing as smooth — or her teammates feel scoring as easy — against the Storm.
I’m doubling down on the under because I’m as stubborn as a Midwestern dad refusing to budge from his porch during a tornado. Also, the numbers say it's the smart move.
