After the Indiana Fever played eight games in 13 days, they got a full four days off for some R & R. They spent that time practicing, building team chemistry, and, hopefully, sleeping.
Yet, despite the Fever being fresh and fully rested, Vegas still lists them as underdogs against a Washington Mystics team that’s 0-9 on the season. Make it make sense.
The sportsbooks might laugh at me for taking this bet, but I like the Fever on Friday night.

Clark is coming off the worst game of her pro career. Last Sunday, she scored only three points and shot a vomit-inducing 10% from the field. Expect a bounce-back game from her and the entire team after getting shellacked 104-68 by the New York Liberty.
The Fever (2-9) should be ready to roll against Washington (0-9). They’ll benefit from some positive shooting regression and a tired Mystics team that’ll be fighting to stay in it by the fourth quarter.
