The NBA playoffs are always wild, wacky and filled with knife-thick drama. With players putting everything on the line in an attempt to bask in championship glory, naturally, the pressure-packed games are tremendously fun to wager on. As a result, the sportsbooks offer many creative ways to enhance the action. What are Brad’s various wagers in Game 4 of Nuggets-Timberwolves? Check out his leans below.

The pick — SGP: Michael Porter Jr. 15+ points, 2+ three-pointers; Nikola Jokic 7+ assists at Timberwolves (-105, DraftKings)

DraftKings offers:

Forget the cheap candy, grocery store carnations and sentimental framed memory. On this Mother’s Day, plunk down a sizable cash stack on the opposite recommended in this column, watch the action unfold next to Mom and count the winnings together.

Nearly everything discussed in this space, no matter how cogent the presentation, has failed miserably.

Apologies in advance, Michael Porter Jr. Your destiny is an 0-for-15 shooting night.

Jokes and the mountain of losses aside, the above SGP is attractive, at least on the surface.

The Nuggets awoke from their deep slumber in Game 3. Jamal Murray finally resembled his old defense-skewering self, X-factors like Porter elevated their games and the MVP did what he always does — stuff the stat sheet. Now alive and kicking in the series, the road-tested, reigning champions have a chance to head back to Denver deadlocked at 2-2.

In the playoffs, Porter has grabbed what’s required in seven of eight games. He’s averaged 20.5 points and 3.6 triples per contest, shooting a fiery 48.3% from three. Given his lanky frame, beautiful outside stroke and renewed confidence, he’s in excellent position to tally what’s needed for the fifth time this season against the Timberwolves. Yes, even against a Minnesota defense that ranks No. 1 in points per possession allowed (1.084) and No. 3 in fewest opponent threes (10.6) this postseason.

Toss in Nikola Jokic’s seven or more assists, which he’s accomplished in every playoff game this year and in four straight games this season against the Wolves, and the attached juice becomes more consumable.

Of course, based on this loser’s recent track record of suck, every leg falling short is inevitable.

Before placing that full FADE bet, don’t forget to call Mom.

NBA postseason record: 8-18, -8.83 units

BONUS TIME — SGP: Pacers 108+ points, Tyrese Haliburton 20+ points (+100, DraftKings)
